” Before the wedding planning took place, before I was even engaged, before I had even met “the one” – I knew I would be taking formal bridal portraits before the wedding. What I hadn’t known, though, was how I would feel.
Mostly, I had been thinking about bridals as a practical way of pulling everything together before the big day. A dress rehearsal and last minute check to see how it all fit as one. I had been to several fittings, chosen the jewelry long ago, enlisted a good friend to design the wedding florals and bouquet, and had the good fortune of having a photographer as a sister. I knew every detail. I had planned every single detail. But the moment I slipped into the dress and adorned my ears with the pearl earrings my sister had given me a few years prior, I felt it. The moment I looked into the mirror and saw this long-planned vision come to life, I completely melted. And that moment – that entire day – is by far one of my favorite memories throughout the entire wedding process.
From my Aunt doing my makeup to having good friend deliver the most beautiful bouquet that morning; from my sister perfectly understanding my personality and bringing that across in the photos to shooting at the exact same place my mother had taken her bridal portraits almost 30 years ago, this day was absolute magic. And it is something I will remember and hold on to for the rest of my life ” – The Bride-To-Be
