” Simplicity drives me, and that really is my aim in all sessions, to focus on connection and to create images that make you feel. Andrea is a photographer herself, so she of course knew the sweet and simple outfits to wear that would perfectly showcase their family. The aim was to document the details of their fresh and simple nursery, and the first few days at home with Adah. They didn’t find out the gender, so their nursery inspiration was neutral, light and calming, which was achieved beautifully. “ I’ve never felt so empowered and amazed by what my body can handle than after giving birth to sweet Adah. The whole process of being pregnant and having a baby is raw, real, hard work, beautiful, sweet and so many many other complex things but there is nothing quite like the moment of finally holding the precious bundle of love that you have prayed for, dreamed about and labored for! My husband and I decided not to find out the gender before she was born and I was convinced she would be a boy. It was an even sweeter surprise and shock for him to announce to me in the delivery room that we had a daughter. A daughter! What a beautiful gift, and something I never imagined that made it all the more sweet and wonderful. I love her with every fiber of my being and am so glad we waited to find out. It has been so much fun to get to know her and connect all the dots of her little personality from the last 9 months to these few weeks with her. I’m just amazed by the little girl who made me a momma; and my husband and I are filled with joy and awe to know her and watch her grow! ” – Andrea
