” I met Emily close to 7 years ago as we were almost roommates at the same college! I went in a slightly different direction but we still tried to keep in touch over the years.
Ever since I ventured into film back in December, I had a vision for a vintage shoot and I knew Emily would fit that vision perfectly. It took a few months of planning with our busy schedules but we finally made it happen!
Originally we had only planned to shoot at one location but last minute I decided to throw in the Boardwalk. I’m SO glad we did. This gave us two completely different looks for the two different eras we were going for. The first era was the 1940’s nautical theme and the Boardwalk Resort was lovely for it. The colors were nice and bright and as per Disney perfection, the vintage vibe was imminent throughout the entire boardwalk display. Emily wore this dress for one of the Disney dapper days a few months back (which sparked the idea for this shoot) and I loved how she played it up with the big curls and bright lip!
The second location was in the newly remodeled Disney Springs. Once I first laid eyes on this location I knew it would be perfect for a shoot. And boy was I right! The colors we got in this location was simply stunning. By the time we made it over to this location it was getting pretty busy so it took meticulous planning and some waiting to get shots without people! But I am so pleased!
Emily has such a unique classic vintage beauty and because she was a theater major, she played the role perfectly. I couldn’t be more happy with the way these turned out! ”
