Brigadeiros – Chocolate truffles

Ingredients

1 can of condensed milk
50g of cocoa powder
1 tablespoon (tbsp) of unsalted butter
2 tbsp of milk
Oil or unsalted butter for greasing the dish
Granules of chocolate

Preparation

Put on low heat the condensed milk, the chocolate, the butter and the milk, stirring constantly. When the mixture unsticks from the bottom of the pan is ready to put in a greased baking dish with oil or butter. Cooking time is about 15 min.
Then let it cool completely.
When it’s already quite cold, mold the balls with your hands, previously greased with oil and then pass the balls in the chocolate sprinkles.
Then the balls are ready to be served.

Cherry Brigadeiro – Cherry chocolate truffles
Chocolate truffle recipe but adding a sweet cherry in the centre.

Preparation:
Wash the cherries and remove the seeds and the cherries stem.
Let the cherry stem aside to dry.
Cut pieces of cherry.
With hands greased with oil, mold the balls with your hands as explained before, but before placing the chocolate sprinkles, with the thumb make a hole in the centre of the ball and put a piece of cherry. Then finish to mold the ball with a cherry piece in the centre. Then pass the balls in the chocolate sprinkles.
Finally, put a cherry stem in the ball for garnish.
