” Modern weddings have a tendency to gravitate towards lavish events, with couples almost expected to have a unique twist that speaks to their love story incorporated into the reception. For this shoot, the inspiration was an air of simplicity. In all the details large and small, we wanted to create an atmosphere anchored in natural elements that ultimately showcased the authentic beauty of the bride & groom. We found this beautiful oak glen and were inspired by its organic light and the shelter it provided. Immediately we were attracted to the idea of playing against the rustic tone of the setting by going for sleek, modern, and simple with everything we brought in.

For a palette, we focused on elements instead of colors, pulling in the stone and copper to serve as punctuation in our wooded environment. Our amazing team of vendors totally embraced the concept by bringing sleek pieces that supported the creative direction and brought so much life and edge in even the subtlest details. As each detail added onto the next, we found that the beauty wasn’t coming from opulence, but rather from quality and a sense of connection to the natural.
