“Navigating a pregnancy during a pandemic has presented a host of unique challenges that I didn’t anticipate. Among them was how to approach some of the traditional celebrations that take place, like a maternity shoot, gender reveal or shower/sprinkle. We were wrapped up in the joy of expecting again I had a lapse in memory in that we are living through a health crisis! 

Similar to approaching my maternal care, I was swiftly reminded that this go round is going to look A LOT different than our first pregnancy. We are due in early May and likely would not have taken maternity pictures until February, but given the unknown of COVID-19 we didn’t want to risk being on lock-down come the top of the year so we went for it and decided to make it a hybrid occasion in shooting for our holiday 2020 pictures. It all worked out and I felt the most beautiful and confident on that day than I have all year…Nikki welcomed my little family into her home-studio with windows ajar and all the precautions and shot some of the most stunning images of us that I will forever treasure. 

2020 has been tough – but I have tried to embrace every twist and turn for the better. Grateful for this time to be hyper-focused on family, life and health!”
