It was hot (like really hot). Like 103 degrees hot. We had initially planned a little home session and then, well … Shelter-in-Place. So we put our little motherhood session on hold and waited until we were cleared to shoot. As soon as we had the green light, we excitedly regrouped and decided to set up one of Jess’ stunning handmade backdrops outside in the dappled light, beneath the shade of the oak trees that lined her driveway. Talk about talented … oh my goodnessssss. She is incredible. I was blown away. Hearing her process … her story … her ’why’ … only intensified my awe. She puts so much into her art and it really and truly shows. We popped a little fan outside to keep cool, swept that hair into a sweet pony, drank lots of sparkling water, doordashed some lunch and sat … and talked … and took heaps of photos of her loving on those beautiful babies of hers. It was the perfect, leisurely afternoon. She sure knows how to bring the dreamy ✨~
