” “What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.” -Steinbeck
A certain ache is unearthed within me during the winter months, when the Oregon trees lay bare, the rivers flow high and winter seems to be an idea of eternity. The world is deeply asleep and spring, with its bright colors, budding blossoms and wedding bells is a fading memory. It is at this time that the moody tones of the great Columbia river practically beg to be noticed, and I find my shivering heart embracing the romance of winter.
As a northwest native I have always found nature to be my prime inspiration, and I find the murky tans and greys of our winter to be an irresistible color palette in spite of the cold.
Accented with charming light pink roses, our lovely model Anna wears the mysterious mood of winter well. My hope is that this simple shoot will serve as bridesmaid inspiration to those who love winter tones but also feel that familiar love for spring stirring in their heart. ” – Jamie
