“ This is a Tennessee wedding at the Museum of Appalachia in Clinton, TN. The Museum of Appalachia is a 60-acre living pioneer village. Both Amy and Josh’s families were from out of town, so it was a destination wedding for nearly all of their wedding guests. Originally, they were going to have their wedding ceremony in front of the grist mill. Due to the weather forecast, Amy and Josh made the decision to have their wedding ceremony under the covered porch — thank goodness they did! Towards the end of their wedding ceremony, there was a loud roll of thunder, a rooster crowed loudly by the covered porch where the ceremony was being held, and then the sky opened up and it began pouring the rain! It rained so much that the reception was moved into the Museum of Appalachia reception hall. After about 30 minutes, the rain stopped and it was a gorgeous evening. Fog rolled across the back lawn, and wedding guests mingled throughout the lawn, back porch, and indoor reception hall. ” – Kathleen
