” Megan and I were best friends when we were 16, but eventually lost touch after high school. Recently we reconnected when I saw that she had launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund her first full length album. I backed her project, but I also wanted to collaborate with her on a special portrait session to help promote her music. Her bohemian style and hauntingly beautiful vocals inspired me to reach out her. I knew that her classic beauty and old timey vibe would be complimented by doing her session on film. We pooled together our collection of vintage clothes and styled the shoot based off the art nouveau style of Mucha’s paintings. The session was shot at the Oceano Sand Dunes and a neighboring eucalyptus grove. Both locations provided us with the dreamy sunlight needed to make this songstress shine like a star. Her album is due out later 2013 ” – Michele Beckwith
