I am a destination wedding photographer and I travel mostly alone. It can be very lonely at times. This is the first little trip, my wife and Aidan ​travelled with me around Europe. It wasn’t easy travelling with a one year old but certainly memorable. Not to mention the long haul flights from Australia with an active toddler.

Upon arriving in London, Aidan, my one year old fell sick and we didn’t get to explore much of London the first 2 days. My wife first experience in the UK was, “It doesn’t feel like a holiday”. Even after visiting the Palace, Tower Bridge and a few other iconic tourist attraction in London for the first time. I guess sometimes expectations at a certain place may be a bit too high after seeing countless amazing images captured by creative photographers.
​After a few days around London, we headed to a small town called Bradford-on- Avon. It was only about half an hour drive to my destination wedding location. Bradford-on- Avon was such an amazing and cute little town with so much character. Definitely, a place to visit apart from the famous Bath of course.

I have decided to capture Bradford-on-Avon and Bath after shooting the destination wedding the day before. To avoid tourists and locals walking around in the background, we have decided to start our journey very early in the morning, right after sunrise.​ Everything turned out amazing, the weather and we have the whole street to ourselves.

Bath is famous for their Roman Bath houses actually has a lot more to offer. Their Roman history, famous crescent building, markets and parks within such a unique city. Instead of just focussing mainly around the Roman Bath house, which was spectacular by the way, I wondered around the Bath city to experience other ​amazing spots for photos while trying to avoid the most common tourist captures.

My wife finally said, “Now, it feels like a holiday in UK!”. Wow, she was hard to impress. Next stop, Barcelona and Paris.
